A diverse array of surface buoys were outfitted with Aquadopp Profilers 400 kHz to measure the upper 70 meters of the water column in the open ocean. These deployments aimed to enhance understanding of near-surface stratification, supporting operational climate forecasting and ENSO-related research. The AquaPror was chosen for its optimal combination of profiling range, spatial and temporal resolution, long-term durability, reliable data telemetry, and flexible cell size configuration.
