The primary way to communicate with your Aquadopp instruments is through the instrument-specific deployment software. These software applications are available free of charge, and can be downloaded from the Nortek software and firmware download page.
The software provides the quickest and easiest way to perform tasks such as:
- Configuring and starting a new deployment
- Stopping a deployment and downloading data from the recorder
- Converting raw data to ASCII files
- Performing a function test of the instrument
- Calibrating the compass and setting a pressure offset
- Updating the instrument firmware
Software versions
Because each product type requires its own software version, make sure you select the application that matches your instrument. The software names correspond directly to the instrument names. For first-generation Aquadopps, the following options apply:
- Aquadopp Deployment software (Gen1)- for the first-generation Aquadopp Current meters
- Aquadopp Profiler Deployment software (Gen1) - for the-first generation Aquadopp Profilers
- Aquadopp Profiler HR Deployment software (Gen1) - for the-first generation Aquadopp profilers with HR firmware
- Deepwater Aquadopp Deployment software (Gen1) - for the-first generation deep-water Aquadopp Current Meters
