The Signature is capable of capturing both current profiles as well as the full wave spectrum. In addition it offers advanced features such as ice measurements, High Resolution (HR) mode, and echosounder.
The theoretical principles behind these measurements apply across multiple Nortek instrument types and are therefore documented in common sections. To understand how the instrument derives these measurements, refer to the following sections, which describe the underlying theory and physical principles:
- Principles of Operation - Currents
- Principles of Operation - Waves
- Principles of Operation - High Resolution
- Principles of Operation - Ice
- Principles of Operation - Echosounder
