Instrument

The picture(s) shows a Vector Generation 2 with the different main parts highlighted.

The Vector Generation 2 has a new short battery canister which can be used for deployments up to a depth of 300m.

Cables

The Vector Generation 2 is always delivered with a multi-connection cable - this features both serial and ethernet connection possibilities. The instrument supports both serial and ethernet communication via the push button box.

Auxiliary components

The communications box allows the Vector Generation 2 to be connected via serial (SER) or ethernet (ETH). This allows the instrument to be configuration and tested in the under serial communication, or to update the firmware and download data at faster rates over the ethernet connection.

The instrument comes with a RS-422 USB communication for serial communications, and an ethernet cable for ethernet respectively.

Quick Guide

Inside the instrument box, you will also find a short document, outlining the first steps when receiving your instrument. The information provided there, is discussed in greater detail as part of this "getting started" section.
