Where to find the latest software and firmware
A web-based application called Nortek Deployment is used to operate and configure the Gen2 AWAC. This software can be launched from your web browser by visiting deployment.nortekgroup.com, but can also be installed from Microsoft Store or downloaded as an offline installer file. Nortek releases new and improved firmware and software on a regular basis. Please always visit our web pages before each deployment to make sure you have the most resent instrument versions. All lates versions of firmware and software can be found on our web site under
Connecting to the instrument
To connect the instrument to your computer for the first time, utilize either the supplied ethernet cable or the serial cable (default RS422) connected to the USB converter. Make sure the instrument is powered using an external power supply or internal batteries. Open the software Nortek Deployment and establish a connection to the Gen2 AWAC.

Testing the instruments functionality
After you have received your instrument and established a connection to Nortek Deployment for the first time, we recommend carrying out a Function test. This allows you to ensure the correct functionality of your device and will help you to familiarize yourself with the available sensors and provided variables.
This can be done using the corresponding functionality of the software. You have the option to run a default Function test configuration or start a online deployment using your preferred setup. Please refer to the Help section for a detailed walkthrough of this test.
