Probe check - Sensor Diagnostics
Suspect the data is appearing incorrect, run a Probe Check.
The probe check provides insight into the acoustic signal and helps detect issues such as:
Obstructions
Low scattering conditions
Transducer problems
Electrical noise
Running a probe check should be one of the first troubleshooting steps when diagnosing velocimeter performance issues.
This can be accessed in the "advanced mode" which is switched on in the settings on Nortek Deployment (bottom left corner of the application when connected). Within the "Diagnostics" section located on the panel to the left, the probe check and spectrum analyzer can be used.
The probe must be fully submerged for the test to be meaningful.
