The theoretical principles and operational guidelines are common across multiple Nortek instrument types and are therefore covered in shared documentation. The following sections link to where you can find information on the underlying theory, instrument operation, maintenance, and recommended practices.

Operational Guidelines

These guidelines describe the considerations to make before deployment, focusing on practical aspects of planning, preparation, deployment, and instrument handling.

Principles of Operation

The Signature is capable of measuring both current profiles and the full wave spectrum. In addition, it offers advanced features such as ice measurements, High Resolution (HR) mode, and echosounder.

Maintenance

This section outlines the essential maintenance tasks needed to keep Nortek instruments operating reliably, including cleaning, sealing, cable handling, and preventing bio-fouling.
