What exactly is meant by “Distance from the sample volume”?
The “Distance from the sample volume” refers to the distance from the center of the Sample Volume to the boundary as measured along a line from the central transducer aligned with the probe head’s principal axis. For a down-looking probe this would be the vertical distance.
