The VM current profilers are usually mounted either on retractable poles for deployment only during data acquisition, or permanently in a blister designed for the purpose. Most blisters are designed to carry two units.

Major survey companies typically have access to experienced personnel with specific requirements and unique blister designs. For most VM current profiler installations, Nortek presence therefore is not needed.  

Considering the individually varying requirements Nortek does not provide detailed advice or procedures on hull mounting or blister construction.

For “first time” installations we do however provide an Installation Guide discussing the basic issues and requirements needing to be taken into consideration.
