Which application should I use for my Signature 500 measurements?
FollowWhen setting up your Signature instrument for deployment, you can configure it to use one or several applications. Each application provides different types of data, and some may require multiple slots. You can find out more about how applications determine the sampling scheme in the FAQ: How do the Signature Deployment applications decide the sampling scheme?.
The table below shows what type of data you get with each application with a Signature 500, and how many slots they require. To achieve a successful deployment it is crucial to understand what type of data you get from each application and combine them correctly. The FAQ How can I check which sampling scheme my Signature is set up to? explains how you can check what sampling scheme the instrument currently is set up to.

Extension: Echo sounder
- Echo sounder: Only available with Burst plans. Will add echo sounder measurements to the configuration, while keeping the current and/or wave measurements. The echo sounder and the other burst measurements will follow the same time schedule. This requires at least one extra slot.
