Which application should I use for my Signature 500 measurements?
FollowWhen configuring your Signature instrument for deployment you can set it up to use one or several applications. Different applications gives you different types of data, and some of them requires several slots (read about how the applications decides the sampling scheme in this FAQ).
The table below shows what type of data you get with each application with a Signature 500, and how many slots they require. To achieve a successful deployment it is crucial to understand what type of data you get from each application and combine them correctly. This FAQ explains how you can check what sampling scheme the instrument currently is set up to.

Extension: Echo sounder
- Echo sounder: Only available with Burst plans. Will add echo sounder measurements to the configuration, while keeping the current and/or wave measurements. The echo sounder and the other burst measurements will follow the same time schedule. This requires at least one extra slot.
