Can you use the AquaPro HR Amplitude to estimate Suspended Sediment Concentration? What about bottom distance check?
There is no bottom distance check feature for the AquaPro HR instruments, as no altimeter or other sensor are integrated. A distance to bed check estimate can be made using the measurement area to include the bottom boundary layer, and then use amplitude data to get a rough idea of distance to bottom. However, due to sidelobe interference and small particle resuspension, only a ballpark distance can be estimated.
