Problems with connecting to Signature 1000 after upgrading the firmware

After upgrading the firmware to the newest version on our Signature1000, the instrument does not respond. We get an error message saying “Failed to connect to instrument”. How can we get the instrument to respond?

Try to reformat the recorder. This should always be done after upgrading the firmware in any Signature instrument. To do so, first right click on the instrument in the discover screen and select web browser. From the web, select “Reformat SD card”. This can also be done via the terminal emulator using the command “FORMAT,9999”. You may also need to reboot the Signature using the Reboot button on the web interface.
