Interpretting the compass calibration plot for Nortek Aquadopp Profiler
Hello, we have a Nortek Aquadopp Profiler for which we have completed a compass calibration. From the manual ("aquadopp-profiler_Jan2008.pdf", p. 36 - 38) there is an example of a successful rotation shown, where there is a circle centered at x=0 and y=0.
However, my plot looks nothing like this. My circle is centered at x=0.5 and y=2, with a radius of 4 counts, and the top of the circle is flattened along y=5.
So I have 2 questions:
1) Is this acceptable, or should the circle be centered? Or is it okay so long as it is not ellipsoidal?
2) Is the circle actually flat at the top, or is this a result of the plot not extending beyond y = 5 ?
3) What do the units of counts indicate, and what does the radius signify?
