I'm familiar with Nortek's Signatures/Vector/AquaDopp but I'm currently confused about the bin size (recorded and presented in webapp) of the ECO after reading the docs and playing with the DEMO file.
The web software allows for 3 depth cells to be exported (which you can change in the software), but given the 11 m depth and 1 MHz frequency, what are the sampled bin sizes? Presumably these are quite small to identify the surface.
- Is the ECO splitting its beam ranges into thirds ? Or is it sampling over smaller bin sizes?
- How does the ECO determine the cell sizes? Are these determined based on the pressures for each ensemble?
- What are the depth ranges presented for the three depths in the software? Are these the same as during sampling?
- If we change depth levels in the software, is the software interpolating from a a few bins or presenting data from the nearest bin?
At the end of the day, is it possible to have velocity information at higher spatial resolution by exporting csv data at different depth levels?
