Ensuring operational safety through real time current data collection in Port of Juneau, Alaska, USA (2017)

A system consisting of a 400 kHz, 2D side-looking 400 kHz Acoustic Doppler profiler is connected via a cable to a shore-based cellular modem. The system relays the data to the Marine Exchange of Alaska, which in turn transmits the data to vessel operators and others via AIS and the internet.
