Which application should I use for my Signature 1000 measurements?

When setting up your Signature instrument for deployment, you can configure it to use one or several applications. Each application provides different types of data, and some may require multiple slots. The table below shows what type of data you get with each application with a Signature 1000, and how many slots they require. To achieve a successful deployment it is crucial to understand what type of data you get from each application and combine them correctly. Extensions: HR and Echo sounder

  • HR: Only available with Burst plans. When HR option is chosen, the regular burst measurements are replaced with HR measurements. You can choose to apply the HR extension either to the slanted beams, the vertical beam or both.
  • Echo sounder: Only available with Burst plans. Will add echo sounder measurements to the configuration, while keeping the current and/or wave measurements. The echo sounder and the other burst measurements will follow the same time schedule. This requires at least one extra slot.
